Poetry, short stories, personal writing, essays, thoughts, opinions, creative writing and spoken word where appropriate.
Who can submit?
Young people ages 0 to 18 across South Africa. No professional experience is required. A parent or legally competent guardian submits for anyone under 18; an 18-year-old may submit on their own behalf.
What can I send?
Send the original writing as a PDF or TXT file. For spoken word, include the written work and a secure supporting link. You may choose whether to include a portrait.

Young Voices showcases writing and creative work by young people across South Africa.
We welcome poetry, short stories, essays, reflections, artwork, photography and other original creative expression.
Where possible, readers also meet the young person behind the work through a short creator profile.
Young creators retain ownership of their original work. Young & Seen publishes selected work with the required permissions and credits.
